We spent the whole day today inside two Mexican protected areas, the Espiritu Santo Island Complex Biosphere Reserve, and the Waters of Espiritu Santo Marine Area for the Protection of Flora and Fauna—namely the islands of Espiritu Santo, Partida Sur and Los Islotes, plus the waters around them. During the morning we explored Los Islotes and visited the resident colony of California sea lions there, while later in the afternoon we enjoyed the beauty of the sandy beach at Bonanza Bay located on the southern end of Espiritu Santo Island.
