The DER below is from the expedition to Cuba that began on January 11, 2017.

After an easy overnight cruise we arrived this morning at Trinidad, one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Cuba.  Some of us explored the old center of the city, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site for it’s remarkable preservation of early Spanish Colonial architecture.  Others rode up into the Escambray Mountains, into cool pine forests and lush stands of tree ferns, for a hike and a delicious lunch of fire-roasted pork
