The DER below is from the expedition to Cuba that began on January 11, 2017.

This vibrant city is known in Cuba as the Pearl of the South.  It was founded in the 19th Century, by French immigrants from Bordeaux and Louisiana who left their mark in the unique architecture that is well preserved around the central square.  We had a busy morning, strolling through town with our Cuban guides, visiting an arts academy, and finishing up a bit of shopping for rum and cigars!
