The DER below is from the expedition to Cuba that began on January 4, 2017.

Today we drove through the pastoral Cuban countryside to the colonial city of Trinidad, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here we explored the cobblestone streets, plazas, and visited a local wood carver. In the afternoon we visited a sugar plantation in the Valle de los Ingenios, or the Valley of the Sugar Mills. Meanwhile, others in the group made an excursion to the mountains in the Sierra del Escambray.
