Los Islotes

This morning after sighting a pod of short finned pilot whales, bottlenose dolphins, and a blue whale, the ship was anchored near some rocky outcroppings just north of the island called Espiritu Santo. There, a large number of California sea lions had hauled out and were basking in the sun, barking at each other, or just swimming in the clear water.

We all took Zodiac cruises around one side of the islets called "Los Islotes" for a close look at the playful creatures.
