National Geographic Sea Bird awoke to exceptional views of Holkham Bay and Tracy Arm while cruising towards the face of Sawyer Glacier, while guests spotted humpback whales along the way. Upon arrival at Sawyer Glacier (a tidewater glacier a few years ago but has now receded quite drastically) guests embarked onto our expedition Zodiacs as well as kayaks to venture further towards the glacier.
In the afternoon, National Geographic Sea Bird traveled towards South Sawyer Glacier, passing by incredible bergy bits and icebergs. Once we positioned the ship as close to the glacier as possible, guests disembarked for another round of Zodiac tours, this time witnessing incredible calving events, spotting harbor seal pups, and arctic terns flying overhead. What a way to round out our final day aboard National Geographic Sea Bird!
