We started our day with a pre-breakfast hike to the highest point of the island. Once we arrived, we had one of the most amazing views of the Galapagos Islands. This iconic view is famous all over the world. It was a pleasure to see it with our own eyes.
After breakfast, we headed to the beach. The sun was shining, and the beach was perfect for taking walks along the shore and exploring the area’s wildlife. Some of our guests got in the water for snorkeling around Pinnacle Rock.
Later, we headed out to explore the area with deep-water snorkeling. We went around the island and jumped in a protected area. We saw sharks, sea turtles, sea lions, and many colorful fish.
Later, the ship navigated towards Sombrero Chino, where we enjoyed another deep-water snorkel surrounded by amazing wildlife. Galapagos penguins swam alongside our guests.
Other guests took a Zodiac tour at sunset, ensuring that everyone got to see the little Galapagos penguins.
To end the day, the hotel department has arranged a barbecue dinner on the sky deck. We are hoping to have clear skies for some stargazing. It has been an amazing day aboard National Geographic Endeavor II.
