Today we chose to wake up very early in the morning to land at Bartolomé Island. Here one can contemplate its moonlike craters and gorgeous golden beaches. During the walk we enjoyed the magic of a breathtaking sunrise and such a unique landscape before coming back to breakfast onboard.

Some of our explorers spent the rest of the morning snorkeling, while others decided to chill and relax at a gorgeous golden beach. For those who decided to refresh in the clear blue waters of this island, their reward was to enjoy a baby black-tip shark which was swimming close to the shore and stayed around us for long time.

After lunch we prepared an activity for our young guests who had the chance to put their creativity to practice by painting Galapagos hats. They had a fun time drawing and coloring iguanas and tortoises on their hats. Later on, some of our explorers enjoyed experiencing how a hunting penguin popped up for a breath while another one was resting on the volcanic coast of Santiago. We witnessed a very important part of penguin lifestyle as they meticulously looked after their feathers, a necessary daily activity they have to work on in order to maintain waterproofing and insulation.

This was another amazing day in the Galapagos with a group of wonderful people on board, sharing an incredible time with an incredible combination of nature exploration and relaxation.
