Travel Protection Plan

Coverage:

• Reimburses unused, non-refundable land or water travel arrangements and additional transportation costs.
• Applies if the interruption is due to:
  • Death of you, a family member, traveling companion, or business partner.
  • Covered sickness or injury requiring medical treatment.
  • Other specified reasons (e.g., hijacking, quarantine, natural disaster, theft of passports, job transfer, traffic accidents, labor strikes, etc.).

Additional Benefits

• Covers reasonable accommodation and local transportation costs if you stay with a hospitalized traveling companion.
• Covers additional costs for extending your trip due to a covered sickness or injury.
• Single Supplement:
• Covers additional costs if a traveling companion's trip is interrupted and you remain on your trip.

Coverage:

• Reimburses additional transportation costs and prepaid expenses for unused land or water arrangements if you miss your trip departure due to:
  • Delay of a common carrier.
  • Weather conditions, quarantine, hijacking, strike, natural disaster, terrorism, or riot.

Coverage:

• Reimburses reasonable accommodation, meal, and local transportation expenses if delayed for 12 hours or more due to:
  • Delay of a common carrier.
  • Traffic accidents, lost/stolen passports, quarantine, hijacking, strike, natural disaster, terrorism, or riot.

Coverage:

• Pays for covered medical expenses incurred due to sickness or injury during the trip, including emergency dental treatment up to $750.
• Covers only expenses incurred during the trip; not after.

Coverage:

• Emergency Medical Evacuation: Pays for transportation to the nearest facility if adequate treatment is not available locally.
• Medical Repatriation: Covers costs for returning you to your primary place of residence for further treatment if necessary.
• Return of Remains: Covers the cost of returning your remains to your primary residence or place of burial if you die during the trip.

Coverage:

• Pays a percentage of the principal sum for losses resulting from injury during the trip, such as loss of life, limbs, or sight.

• Reimburses for permanent loss, theft, or damage to baggage and personal effects up to a specified limit.
• Includes a maximum of $600 for valuables (e.g., jewelry, cameras) and $50 for passport/visa replacement.

Exclusions:

• Does not cover items like automobiles, animals, and some personal effects (e.g., medications, professional equipment).

Coverage:

• Reimburses for reasonable additional clothing and personal articles if baggage is delayed for 24 hours or more.
• Covers up to $50 for expenses to expedite the return of delayed baggage.

• Benefits will not duplicate other coverage or insurance.
• Specific exclusions apply, such as claims resulting from criminal activities or pre-existing conditions.
• For reimbursement, proper documentation and timely reporting are required.
