This morning, National Geographic Resolution sailed into the Vestfiróir (Westfjords) of Iceland to visit the magnificent Dynjandi Waterfall. Dynjandi is actually a series of beautiful waterfalls with glacier water cascading down a high and nearly vertical wall of bare volcanic rock. As we slowly ascended the trail, we had wonderful views of one waterfall after another. When we reached the top of the trail, we were greeted by the tallest and widest of them all: Dynjandi!
There were breathtaking views, and we enjoyed wonderful scenery everywhere we looked — lots of great photo opportunities! Iceland is truly a beautiful place, full of waterfalls and gorgeous landscapes!
