The DER below is from the expedition to Cuba that began on December 21, 2016

Trinidad, on the southern coast of central Cuba, was our base of operation today.  Cobblestone streets, colorful architecture, and a burgeoning art market make Trinidad a great town to visit. Not far away lies a mountain range, the Topes de Collantes, and the San Luis Valley, known for its sugar mills. Some of us visited the mountains with endemic bird and plant life while others learned about the history of sugar cane production in the area.
