The Drake Passage continued to be kind as we entered the second day of our expedition and enjoyed incredible sightings of light-mantled sooty albatrosses and fin whales. After lunch, we landed on Half Moon Island in the South Shetland Islands and the wildlife encounters continued. From there, we continued down to Deception Island and, sailing in through Neptune’s Bellows, we arrived in Whalers Bay. From the ship we viewed the last remaining relics of the island’s whaling history.
