Today was a very special day for many of us. For the naturalist like me, we got to show guests the island where we grew up; and for guests they got to see one of the most iconic species of the Galapagos Islands in the wild: the Galapagos giant tortoise. In the morning, we headed to the cloud forest of Santa Cruz Island, the place where this particular species of tortoise live. We got to see them feeding, warming themselves in the sun and even mating!
In the afternoon, we visited Bowditch Beach, a beautiful and relaxing space to lap up the ocean at sunset. It was another special day in paradise with many memories our guests will take home!
