The rock formations at Land’s End rise abruptly from the turquoise sea, outlined against the deep blue skies at the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. Our captain steered National Geographic Sea Bird to give guests an up-close look at the archway beneath the cliffs.

After enjoying the geology at Land’s End, we navigated north to the town of San Jose del Cabo. Guests enjoyed locally made paletas (popsicles) in town, went bird-watching at the estuary, and witnessed local glass-blowing artists practice their craft.

We pulled away from the dock to search for whales on our way north and were rewarded with sightings of a breaching humpback whale calf before we entered the Gulf of California for our next adventures.
