This was a day full of new experiences for all of us, and of course there is no better way to start than with a skiff expedition searching for wildlife – after all this is the Amazon experience, a place full of an exuberant biodiversity.

We started with a nice sunny morning full of nature, from the amazing common potoo to the lovely common squirrel monkey, although they are no less important than the great variety of birds that we can always find along the river.

As we all come back to the Delfin II a delicious breakfast was served, it was time to recharge energies for a day that was just starting.

The day continued with the visit to the San Francisco Village, a very important part of our journey to get in touch with the local people and get a better understanding of their culture and traditions. We also had an introductory talk from the local residents who described their experience with Mingo Peru, the NGO that Lindblad Expeditions supports with the help of all of our guests. Finally, the visit to the local school highlighted our morning activities.

The end of day couldn’t be better, a skiff ride at the Clavero Lake or a canoe expedition were the chosen activities by our expedition leader for a perfect end to a lovely day.
