Last night, we left Santa Cruz Island and headed towards San Cristobal Island in the eastern realm of the Galapagos. We navigated all night long and arrived early in the morning.
San Cristobal is characterized by its impressive landscapes of past volcanic eruptions; we also find a lot of wildlife. This island is the political capital of Galapagos, and it is known as "the beautiful island."
We explored Punta Pitt, the most northeastern point in the Galapagos. Later, we visited Cerro Brujo. One of the most beautiful places in the archipelago, Cerro Brujo is home to a colony of Galapagos sea lions. The white sand beach is surrounded by black lava and bathed by turquoise blue waters.
