Upon entering Canadian waters, guests disembarked National Geographic Quest to explore the beautiful town of Prince Rupert. Guests had a gentle reminder of the enormous tides when they had to hike up the heavy incline from the dock on an extreme low tide.
Once on land, guests were able to explore the cultural heritage and arts of the native people at the Museum of Northern British Columbia. Afterward, we went on a wonderful walk through the forest before returning to the ship to begin sailing down to the Great Bear Rainforest. The nutrient rich waters provided food for humpback whales and Dall’s porpoises and a slight mist produced wonderful rainbows.
