We arrived at the central part of the archipelago, North Seymour Island. This island is a perfect nesting site for blue-footed boobies and frigatebirds. The area is basically a forest full of nests for us to observe. Seymour Island also has a large iguana population, and this herbivore feeds on cactus which is plentiful here.
In the afternoon we visited Rabida, the Red Island, with its sandy beach and rocky shore which offers spectacular opportunities of exploration. We practiced snorkeling for the first time and encountered tropical fish and sea lions.
After the water activities, we went for a walk inland along a beautiful lagoon. Here we found amazing pink flamingos that were displaying in front of our groups. Back on the beach we visited a colony of sea lions and enjoyed watching them play, chase each other, and cuddle.
