We continue to navigate the Marañon River and this morning we visited Nauta Creek. We searched for wildlife all morning from the skiffs, along the mirror-like black water streams that feed the main river.
In the afternoon we visited Amazonas Community. Our guests had the chance to meet the local people and community leader to understand why we support them with the National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions Fund. They all enjoyed shopping in the local market as well.
At the end of the afternoon we deployed our skiffs and headed to the Mighty Amazon River right at the confluence. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset and toasted to an amazing week spent in the Upper Amazon.
