Looking at the embedded information on the back of my camera I see that the first image I took today was at 2:11AM on the way to Trinity Island. The 93% full moon was just setting over beautiful icebergs. The last image I took today was at 11:39PM in Wilhelmina Bay on shore fast ice.

In between we kayaked in Mikkelsen Harbour, cruised amongst chinstrap penguins and humpback whales in Cierva Cove and took the polar plunge amongst that same ice. After dinner captain Martin Graser “parked” National Geographic Orion in the fast ice in Wilhelmina Bay and we all disembarked to play with gentoo penguins, Weddell seals, drink champagne, and watch the 97% full moon rise over glacier-covered mountains.
