While all those aboard the National Geographic Sea Bird were appreciating an impressive Baja sunrise, our naturalists on the bow spotted a pod of common dolphins that we had the privilege of watching bow ride and play in the wake of the ship. The first activity of the day was snorkeling amongst the playful sea lions of Los Islotes. Then, the afternoon was spent in and near the shallow turquoise waters of the bay of Ensenada Grande and part of Isla Partida. Activities included natural history hikes, photo walks, kayaking, and paddleboarding. The day ended with a beach barbeque with tasty food, storytelling, star gazing, and even some singing.
