The National Geographic Sea Bird travelled south all night long from Isla Santa Catalina to reach our morning destination, Los Islotes. As we were stretching on the upper sundeck, the sound of the sea lions was getting closer and louder. Soon enough, we were anchoring and getting ready to go snorkeling with the beautiful sea mammals. Young sea lions are extremely playful and curious, and they are always ready for us to join them in the water. We all had an amazing experience.

After lunch, we started sailing south to reach Bahia Bonanza on the very south end of Isla Espiritu Santo. The protected bay offers a long sandy beach and beautiful coral reef with a wide variety of fish. We spent the afternoon kayaking the calm water within the bay, walking along the two miles stretch on sandy beach and snorkeling among beautiful fishes.

As the sun was getting low upon the horizon, the entire bay was set aglow with soft pastel pink and coral color. As we were admiring the sunset we were served an amazing dinner on the beach.

Dinner was followed by many stories shared around the campfire, and marshmallows were being passed around to be roasted to perfection upon the hot ambers.

The darkness of the moonless sky was ideal for stargazing and, as we were riding back to the ship, bioluminescence were sparkling all along our rubber boats. As we returned to the ship we were treated to a special show of mobula rays right alongside our home.

Thank you Mother Nature for another magical day!
