We needed every minute of the longest day of the year to squeeze in so much adventure. We began by exploring the blue icebergs of LeConte with their infinite hues, textures, shapes, and patterns. One lucky Zodiac was actually able to witness what appeared to be a seahorse kissing an eagle!
After lunch, we explored the rainforest and waterfalls of Cascade Creek. Substantial rains in the last 24 hours have turbocharged the falls that thunder down. When the clouds opened and dropped rain from above, we found ourselves in the lucky position of being rained on from two directions—from the clouds above and from the blowing mist of the falls hitting us from the side.
Finally, after dinner, we were treated to a beautiful rainbow, placing a colorful end to the longest day of the year.
