Splitting the day between an ice garden and a fishing village was a different experience than everything else we’ve seen so far in Southeast Alaska. Although Le Conte Glacier and Petersburg are different stops, they are interconnected in the story of this area. Starting the day by seeing the ice that was once used to pack the fish in Petersburg to send to the “Lower 48” and then ending it by discussing fishing practices with guests really tied the day together for me.
