As Captain Svendsen called his deck crew to their sail stations, the sounds of lines thudding to the decks could be heard on our first morning at sea together. Everyone watched in awe as Sea Cloud’s skeleton of masts began to billow out with thirty total sails, spanning 357-feet from bow sprit to stern. We moved under sail power for most of our morning until making way to our anchorage in Hvar. There, guests enjoyed time ashore with a guided tour of town that included walking the cobblestone streets, viewing the monastery, and a chance to self-explore afterwards. Some guests even took to the challenge of hiking all the way up to the Citadel, an incline 100 meters above sea level.
