As we rounded the corner at Land’s End this morning, the epitaph of yesterday’s storm clouds had already been written. The sun broke the horizon right on time and ushered us into a day of beautiful blue skies, gentle waves, and light breezes for which Los Cabos is known.
As we attempted to make our way to our afternoon snorkel at Cabo Pulmo, we were repeatedly besieged by humpbacks that seemed in the mood to make more baby humpbacks…and they seemed very excited about the prospect!
After lunch we loaded into the pangas of our local guides to take a peek at the miraculous reincarnation of the Cabo Pulmo reefs, the only hard coral reefs in the entire Gulf of California. Guests were lucky to see sergeant majors, Moorish idols, angelfish, and many others, including several large groupers, and a couple of green moray eels!
After our swim we came back aboard to view more humpback silliness and a spectacular sunset. It was an amazing day!
