Our plan for the day was to explore the great seabird breeding grounds of Genovesa Island, which are the ever-temporary home to more than a quarter of a million nesting pairs of great frigate birds, red-footed boobies, and Nazca boobies, to name a few.
We started our day exploring the shoreline with a pre-breakfast kayaking and paddleboarding session. We had a wet landing at the coral pebble beach of Darwin Bay before our snorkeling outing of the morning and a dry landing at Prince Philip’s Steps late in the afternoon.
