La Entrada
This morning there were two Zodiac outings looking for gray whales. Then the Sea Bird repositioned through Hull Canal while we enjoyed a barbecue on deck. The weather was great as the ship headed south.
During the late afternoon the ship left the canal and went through the northern part of Magdalena Bay. There were dozens of gray whales swimming, spouting, and fluking as they moved near the entrance to the bay. The captain maneuvered the ship among the whales on our way to the open Pacific Ocean.
