Floreana Island
We all truly enjoyed one of the most beautiful days on Floreana Island this season. The day was fulfilled with different activities that satisfied the most demanding expectations. From an early Zodiac ride to a beautiful sunset, the day was nearly as ideal as you can imagine.
Snorkeling was great! We observed big numbers of colorful fish species and invertebrates. Some of us had the thrill of swimming with fun, playful young sea lions. In the afternoon, after a delicious Ecuadorian lunch, we went for a walk. The weather was very pleasant; a cool breeze was in perfect harmony with a bright sun that was shining in the sky. During the walk many surprises captured our attention. Exotic and endemic plant species, greater flamingos and beautiful landscapes were just some of the great attractions that Punta Cormorant has to offer. Sally light foot crabs, pictured today, were favorites among our guests. Their striking and dazzling coloration make a wonderful contrast with the dark lava where they roam. At the end of the day, our hearts and minds were filled with new memories and genuine joy. Memories and feelings that we will keep forever as inner and intimate proofs of the magic of the Galapagos Islands. What a great day!
