This afternoon's visit to the highlands of Santa Cruz was ecstatic. Most of the tortoises have already left, as rain started and the breading season drags the giants towards the coastal area where they nest. We still got to see three or four of them, grazing undisturbed in the lush, breathtaking grassland. I took some pictures of it, but finally, this image was chosen because it shows just the atmosphere of the place. I don't really know if I managed to express what I meant, but if I didn't, you'll have to come here yourself and see with your own eyes.

Sometimes it's difficult to give a real idea about being here. When I write letters to my friends about the Galapagos and I read them again, no matter how long they might be, there is always a given color or a certain scent that is yet missing.
