Black-browed albatross in flight about the Caledonian Star and an inset of the pintado petrel. During this day at sea, en route to the Valdez Peninsula, Patagonia, Argentina, we were accompanied by many individuals of sundry sea bird species: yellow-nosed albatross, giant petrel, Manx shearwater, great shearwater, and the pomerine jaeger, to name a few. For the truly persistent there were the special sightings of Magellanic penguins.
