We visited the western realm of the archipelago, Fernandina and Isabela, the youngest of the islands. We went for a hike in the morning at Espinoza Point, a unique place full of iconic marine iguanas, Galapagos sea lions, flightless cormorants, and so much more.
In the afternoon, we had a magnificent snorkeling excursion. We swam with so many green sea turtles, marine iguanas, a vast variety of fish, and even penguins.
We moved to Isabela Island for the afternoon activities. We took the Zodiacs to explore the marvelous coast of Vicente Roca Point. We saw a large school of hammerhead sharks swimming close to the surface. So exciting! We also saw Galapagos penguins, Galapagos fur seals, and blue-footed boobies. Time flies when you are having this much fun!
We weighed anchor to cross the equatorial line while we had a wine tasting with an amazing view of a volcano. It was a perfect end to a great day.
