This morning we woke up off the beautiful island of Espiritu Santo National Park. We had a day packed with activities, starting with some desert hikes that got to see the endemic Espiritu Santo squirrel and the elusive mangrove warbler. After a fulfilling brunch, we plunged into the turquoise waters to snorkel with the locals, seeing tons of brightly colored fish and some rare poisonous sea stars. Our day wasn’t done yet — next we jumped out of the ocean and into kayaks where we watched pelicans and royal terns plunge-dive. Some guests even saw a group of mobula rays and a blue-footed booby! To round out the perfect day, we had cocktail hour on the sun deck and watched the Baja California sky turn brilliant colors of pink and orange.
