It was a day with no land in sight from horizon to horizon as we made our way south from Ushuaia towards the Antarctic Peninsula. The Drake Passage, a notorious body of turbulent seas, was surprisingly kind to us today with a small swell and light westerly winds. A squadron of seabirds followed us south, and we enjoyed occasional whale sightings and even a lone fur seal.
