In the afternoon, we stopped to view an enormous tabular iceberg that is slowly moving to the northeast. A23a is a large tabular iceberg which came from the Filchner–Ronne Ice Shelf in 1986. Its area is about 1,500 sq mi, which makes it one of the largest icebergs in the world.
