The DER below is for the expedition to Cuba that departed on December 21, 2016.

It was just after breakfast that we came into view of our anchorage off Cayo Largo, Cuba. If one looks at a satellite map of this island, you can see the dog-leg shape of this island balanced on the edge of deep water.

The captain managed an anchorage off the south coast, but in protected waters—for the moment with the wonderful weather conditions we have had this week. These conditions aren’t always so easy, so we were thrilled that the visit would go as planned.

For the rest of the morning we enjoyed the beach and water! Caribbean sun and sand!
