Today we visited Cabo Pulmo National Marine Park, one of the northernmost coral reefs in North America. The park is teeming with marine life, thanks to the protection of the local, former fisherman who turned towards tourism and encouraged the Mexican government to help replenish the overfished stocks. In the afternoon we searched for cetaceans, and watched a great show performed by a group of humpback whales. The whales gather here during the winter months to reproduce. We finished our trip with a visit to the iconic arch at Land’s End—the southernmost tip of the Baja California Peninsula.
