Buccaneer Cove was a very famous anchorage site for inbound sailors back in the 17th and 18th century. Now a days, it’s a magnificent site where we offer Zodiac rides along the volcanic coastline. We observed Nazca boobies performing courtship displays, swallow-tailed gulls, pelicans, and blue-footed boobies, among others. Snorkeling was a real highlight with clear waters and lots of beautiful fish.
Puerto Egas, once a salt mine site, is home to diverse wildlife. The black sand beach was a perfect place to spend the afternoon swimming and snorkeling and those who went for a nature hike, enjoyed the volcanic landscape, groups of marine iguanas along the coastline, and a small colony of fur seals. It was a spectacular day!
