Today we explored the central area of the archipelago. Before disembarking, our guests had coffee and snacks in preparation for their first adventure of the day. We began with an early morning walk to the top of Bartolome Island. Visiting the islands early in the morning is the best time to photograph the great light conditions of this unique Galapagos landscape.
After, we came back for breakfast and immediately distributed snorkeling gear and enjoyed our first snorkeling outing. This was our first encounter with the wonderful Galapagos penguin and white-tipped reef shark.
For lunch today, we had a special Ecuadorian buffet, with a variety of flavors from the different regions of Ecuador. In the afternoon, we navigated to Rabida Island, also known as the Red Island, due to its distinctive red colored beaches.
After experiencing our first full day of exploration in the Galapagos, everyone was so happy and eager for what’s to come.
