Sokie Lee
Sokie Lee is a longtime New Yorker. Born in Hong Kong, she was raised with a Chinese holistic approach to living, a philosophy that she still lives by today. Sokie is a graduate of the Swedish Institute and a New York State licensed massage therapist since 1993. Sokie has been a certified instructor of T'ai Chi Chih since 2006. A practitioner of Qigong for many years, Sokie also teaches mindful movement, and better balance classes at the 92Y, Hospital for Special Surgery, Greenwich House, and Beth Israel Hospital in New York City.
Sokie joined Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic as a Wellness Specialist in 2007. Her love for the water includes SCUBA diving, kayaking, and sunfish sailing. Sokie has competed in several Dragon Boat races, a popular international racing competition. Interests include traveling, astrology, cooking, ping pong, Chinese mahjong, and theater.
Her biggest passion project is NYC CLEAN Volunteers, which she founded in September 2021, whose lofty goal is to clean up New York. The team was recently highlighted on TV with Roger Clark of NY1!
Sokie is thrilled to be back on board with Lindblad National Geographic. She is always enthusiastic about exploring new places and ideas and sharing experiences with her fellow travelers whom she meets along the way.
