Kurt Johnson

Kurt is a naturalist, author and photographer with a passion for the natural world. His background is formally in wildlife biology but has found a niche in many aspects of natural history including botany, geology and astronomy. He has been fascinated by wildlife since he was a young boy and even claimed (at age four) that his professional aspirations were to grow up to be a monkey. This has yet to be achieved, but along the way he has studied wildlife all over the world including four years organizing and leading safaris in Kenya and Baja, Mexico.

Kurt is a certified photo instructor and enjoys sharing photography insights almost as much as he enjoys the stories of the natural history of each region that he is guiding in.
