Bob Smith

Bob Smith is a professional nature photographer living in Evergreen, Colorado. Bob's blend of experience in technology and his passion for the natural world make him a unique workshop leader. With a background in data processing and management (M.B.A.), he spent 15 years with Apple Computer working on multimedia solutions for print, web, and video. His interests put him at the forefront of digital photography with the first Nikon 35mm digital SLR.

Since leaving Apple, Bob has led wildlife photography tours around the western US including Alaska, Colorado, New Mexico, and Wyoming, and also has been an instructor at the Photography at the Summit workshops in Jackson, WY for the past 5 years. In addition, he has conducted a number of digital workflow seminars for professional photographers and serves as a technical consultant to several professional photographers, including Tom Mangelsen. He is a member of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) and the North American Nature Photographers Association (NANPA). Bob has been involved in wildlife conservation for many years, serving as a charter board member and president of the board for The Cougar Fund, which is dedicated to the protection of America's greatest cat. His work has appeared in many publications including Nikon's Full Line Product Catalog, Greater Yellowstone: inside and out, Elevated Living Magazine, and with the National Wildlife Federation.
